Call for infrastructure development for prosperity

 

 

Kathmandu – Former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal today stressed the need for developing infrastructure for development and prosperity of the country. 


Investment in infrastructure development would create many job opportunities in the country, he said while inaugurating a seminar on management of physical infrastructure and transport organised by the Department of Transport Management in the Capital. 
Likewise, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth lamented failure for full use of budget released for development due to political instability, while pledging to resolve problems in the sector. 


UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai pointed out the need for completing road upgradation, and national pride projects in time. 
On the occasion, Chief of the Department Dr Bijaya Poudel apprised of investment relevance in transport sector, and impacts made by the sector in agriculture. 


He also presented working paper on physical infrastructure for socialism. Representatives from various departments under the Ministry, and experts in related fields also presented separate six working papers.
