RSP seeks justice with NHRC for Lamichhane's 'inhumane treatment'
Kathmandu, December 8 – The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has filed a petition with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), accusing the government of retaliatory actions and violating the personal human rights of its president, Rabi Lamichhane.
Through the petition, the party has appealed to the NHRC, both nationally and internationally, to ensure the protection of Lamichhane's life and personal rights, seeking justice through human rights activists and organizations.
In the complaint filed by the party's acting general secretary, Kabindra Burlakoti, it is alleged that ever since Lamichhane was taken into police custody for investigation, he has been subjected to various forms of mental torture and human rights violations.
The complaint highlights that the state apparatus has engaged in inhumane, humiliating, and unjust behavior toward Lamichhane.
