Chitwan, December 5 — The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) organized a protest assembly in Chitwan on Thursday.
The party condemned the actions taken against its president, Rabi Lamichhane, including his sudden transfer to Pokhara, which they described as a violation of human rights.
The assembly also addressed the police crackdown during Wednesday’s clash and other related issues.
Lamichhane is currently under investigation by the police in connection with issues such as cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
After his transfer from Pokhara to Kathmandu and then to Chitwan on Tuesday, the police are continuing their inquiry into the matter.
Following the extension of his detention, the police are preparing to transfer Lamichhane to Parsa.
