Maoist Center's Majhi wins Gramthan Rural Municipality Chair post

Morang, December 2 — The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) has won the post of Chairperson of Gramthan Rural Municipality in Morang.

According to the final results of the vote counting completed on Monday, Maoist Centre candidate Namo Narayan Majhi secured victory by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Balaram Sardar Tharu.

Maoist candidate Majhi received 6,969 votes, while Nepali Congress's Sardar Tharu garnered 5,333 votes.

CPN (UML) candidate Tulshi Ram Bishwas received 4,159 votes, while Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Dinesh Kumar Thaandar got 555 votes.

Rashtriya Swatantra Party's Navin Kumar Bishwas Khawas received 375 votes.
