Two schools handed to community
Kathmandu – Two schools destroyed by the 2015 earthquake in Gorkha and Dhading have been rebuilt and handed to the local community. Each school was rebuilt at the cost of Rs 10 million. Two Germany-based organisations funded their reconstruction.
The schools now have eight well-furnished rooms each and avail e-library, drinking water and toilet facilities.
An eight-member team also comprising Nepal's Consul General to Germany, Dr Ram Pratap Thapa, and representatives from the aid organisations ( Kinderhilfe Nepal Trabelsdorf and Aktion Kleiner Prinz) was here to hand over Shree Mahakali Devisthan Basic School based in Bhumesthan of Thakre Rural Municipality-3, Dhading and Shree Bhimsen Basic School based in Namjung of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, Gorkha to local community on March 26 and 27. ---
