CPN (US) to finalize leadership responsibilities in Friday meeting
Kathmandu, November 14 — The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) is set to finalize the division of responsibilities among its leaders in a meeting of the task force scheduled for Friday.
Nearly five months after its 10th General Convention held in July, the party will decide on the delegation of roles, which includes assigning duties for provincial and district in-charges, departmental heads, commissions, and mass organization leaders.
The party has said it will address the concerns of dissatisfied leaders, including Jibanram Shrestha, Dr. Bijay Poudel, and Ramkumari Jhankri, who have expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of proper distribution of responsibilities within the party.
The party has stated that it will follow the "one position, one person" system for the division of roles at all levels of the organization. To strengthen the party structure and make it more dynamic, the system will be implemented to manage leaders effectively, according to leader Som Prasad Pandey.
A task force consisting of party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal, and four other office-bearers, has been formed to oversee the division of responsibilities within the party's organizational structure.
