Thai Airways flight holds over Bhairahawa due to low visibility
Butwal, November 14 — A Thai Airways flight from Bangkok to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa had to hold in the air for about one hour. The flight was delayed due to low visibility at the airport, which prevented it from landing immediately.
Binod Raut, the Information Officer at Gautam Buddha International Airport, explained that airline companies have their own visibility standards. The Thai Airways flight had to hold because the visibility was deemed insufficient according to their criteria.
At the same time, a Jazeera Airways flight was able to land, but the pilot of the Thai Airways flight opted to hold for a while due to the low visibility. Raut confirmed that once the visibility improved, the Thai Airways flight successfully landed.
