Former VP Nanda Kishor Pun 'Pasang' set to rejoin Maoist Centre

Kathmandu  Former Vice President and ex-commander of the Maoist People's Liberation Army, Nanda Kishor Pun 'Pasang', is set to rejoin the CPN (Maoist Centre).

According to sources, a consensus has been reached with party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to assign Pasang an important responsibility within the party leadership.

Pasang had parted ways with the Maoist party in 2015 after being elected Vice President. Following the completion of his second term in 2022, he had remained politically inactive.

Sources close to the Maoist party say that Prachanda and Pasang have had several rounds of discussions regarding his return to the party, and an agreement has now been reached. "He will soon return to active politics within the party," the source said.

Meanwhile, as talks of former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari returning to the politics of the CPN-UML have emerged, Pasang is also preparing to re-enter party politics.
