Kathmandu-Bhairahawa flight diverted to Pokhara amid poor weather conditions
Kathmandu, November 12 — A Buddha Air flight heading from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa has been diverted to Pokhara due to bad weather.
The 9N-ANP aircraft made three turns in the sky over Bhairahawa, waiting for favorable weather conditions. However, since there was no immediate sign of the weather clearing, the flight was diverted to Pokhara.
The plane has since landed at Pokhara Airport, as confirmed by airport information officer Jasuda Paudel.
Due to the bad weather, Bhairahawa Airport was unable to open on Tuesday.
Additionally, there was a delay in the flight that was supposed to carry Rashtriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody in Kaski, to Bhairahawa for questioning. The flight was delayed because the skies over Bhairahawa had not cleared.
