One injured in shooting incident in Sindhuli

Sindhuli, November 10 — A man was shot in Hariharpur, Sindhuli, on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place in Hapse, Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-6, when three unidentified individuals opened fire on Prem Bahadur Bomjan, a resident of Bagmati Rural Municipality-1, as he was traveling on a motorcycle from Makwanpur to Sindhuli.

According to the District Police Office, Bomjan was stopped by the assailants, who shot at him with a pistol before fleeing the scene. Bomjan was wearing a helmet, which prevented the bullet from hitting his head, but the bullet grazed his cheek and lodged in his teeth.

Bomjan, who is the headmaster of Buddha Secondary School in Hatisude, Bakaiya Rural Municipality, was initially treated at a local hospital in Sarlahi before being transferred to Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj for further care. His condition is reported to be stable.

The police are currently investigating the incident and searching for the suspects involved.
