One dead, one seriously injured in Dang car accident

Dang, October 30 — One person has died following a serious accident on the Rapti Highway, where a car (number BA 16 Cha 7643) traveling from Tulsipur to Amiliya fell from a cliff in Lamahi Municipality-9.

According to Hari Khanal, head of the Lamahi Hospital, 45-year-old Karna Bahadur Thapa from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-6 was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to Lamahi Hospital for treatment.

Another seriously injured individual, 33-year-old Purna Bahadur Khatri from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-7, is currently receiving medical care.

Anil Thakuri, chief of the area police office in Tulsipur, stated that police inspector Bhawani Prasad Dhamala and his team responded to the accident and rescued the injured individuals, transporting them to the hospital.
