Parliamentary hearing set for proposed ambassador and SC judges

Kathmandu, October 28 — The parliamentary hearing for the proposed ambassador to Belgium, Sewa Lamsal, and the proposed Supreme Court justices, Nripadhwaj Niraula and Nityanand Pandey, will take placeon October 30.

On Monday, the parliamentary hearing committee meeting held at Singhadurbar decided that the hearings for the proposed ambassador Lamsal and the two justices would be conducted on the same day, as prepared by the secretariat. The committee, led by senior member (chairman) Pashupati Samsher JBR, confirmed that the proposal to complete the hearings in a single day, after hearing complaints, was approved.

He stated, "The hearing process will be completed by inviting the proposed individuals for the ambassador to Belgium and Supreme Court justices to the committee for discussion, in accordance with Clause 15 of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Procedures, 2023, with the modified agenda proposed by the secretariat."

The proposed ambassador Lamsal is currently the Foreign Secretary. The next committee meeting has been scheduled for October 30 at 8 AM.
