President Paudel visits Dakshinkali Temple

Kathmandu, October 7 — President Ramchandra Paudel, accompanied by First Lady Sabita Paudel, visited the Dakshinkali Temple on Monday morning to offer prayers to Mother Dakshinkali and receive tika prasad from the priest on the occasion of Dashain.

Located in the Dakshinkali Municipality of the southern region of Kathmandu, this temple is considered one of the major religious shrines in the valley.

During the visit, Mohan Basnet, the mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality, presented details about the damage caused by recent floods in the temple area and urged support for relief efforts and the reconstruction of the temple site. He also emphasized the need for quick reconstruction of the road between Kathmandu and Makwanpur to ensure uninterrupted access.

On this occasion, President Paudel expressed sympathy for the loss of life and property due to the floods and landslides in the region, stating that he would draw the government's attention to the need for relief for victims and the construction of the temple area and roads. Local representatives, temple management officials, and the general public welcomed President Paudel upon his arrival at the temple.
