Stable river flows reported across the country
Kathmandu, October 7 — The monsoon winds are currently affecting the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Meanwhile, the western winds are impacting the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
According to the Flood Forecasting Section, as of this morning’s measurements, the water flow in the Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, and their tributaries, as well as in the Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, Eastern Rapti, Western Rapti, and Babai rivers, is below the alert level and is generally stable.
It is forecasted that most rivers across the country will remain in normal condition today.
Over the next three days, the water levels in the Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, and their tributaries, along with the Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, Eastern Rapti, Western Rapti, and Babai rivers, are expected to stay below the alert level with normal fluctuations. Therefore, the section requests that activities in riverbank areas be conducted with general caution.
