New York (USA), September 27 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, addressing the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, stated that Nepal is ready to enhance its contribution to global peace and security as the largest contributor of troops and police to UN peacekeeping missions.
Leading the Nepali delegation at the assembly in New York, Prime Minister Oli spoke at 5:30 PM local time on Thursday.
During his address, he called on the global community to unite for peace, sustainable development, and the advancement of human dignity for the current and future generations, ensuring that no one is left behind.
While discussing the ups and downs of Nepal's efforts to establish peace following the armed conflict, Prime Minister Oli informed the assembly that his government has recently passed a transitional justice law in Parliament.
He emphasized that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should be resolved through peaceful dialogue between the two nations.
