One dead, 11 injured in house demolition accident in Baglung
Baglung, September 14 — During the demolition of a house in Burtibang, Baglung, one person has died after being trapped under the rubble, and 11 others have been injured. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Beg Bahadur BK.
According to Police Inspector Pratap Paudel from the District Police Office, the accident occurred suddenly while the house was being demolished as part of a reconstruction effort, injuring BK and 11 other workers. Inspector Paudel informed that BK died during treatment at the Burtibang Primary Health Center.
The injured include 26-year-old Shankar Panthi from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-9, 24-year-old Sugant Paudel from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Khadak Prasad BK from Dhorpatan-4 in Baglung, 20-year-old Indra Rasaili from the same area, 40-year-old Kopila Chhantyal, 50-year-old Shubha Budha Magar, 40-year-old Debisara BK from Dhorpatan-1, 30-year-old Tham Kumari BK from the same area, 38-year-old Kham Maya Gharti from Tamankhola Rural Municipality-1, 35-year-old Tek Bahadur BK, and 51-year-old Tekmaya Rasaili.
Inspector Paudel informed that all those trapped under the debris have been rescued and taken to the health center.
