Lumbini province assembly member Dhan Bahadur KC incarcerated

Kathmandu, September 8 —Lumbini Province Assembly member from the Nepali Congress Party Dhan Bahadur KC has surrendered before East Rukum District Court on Sunday.

According to the police, he has been sent to prison on the same day.

SSP Madhav Shrestha, spokesperson for the Lumbini Province Police Office in Tulsipur, confirmed to Ratopati that KC was taken to court and incarcerated on Sunday.

Dhan Bahadur KC, elected from Rukum East Provincial Assembly (2), was found guilty in the forgery case by the district court.

He was sentenced to one year in prison and imposed a fine of two thousand rupees.

KC had been evading arrest after the verdict.
