Prachanda hits back at Oli’s ‘round-kick’ remark
Kathmandu, September 5 — Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' Chairman of the CPN Maoist Center, has criticized a recent statement made by UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Oli had claimed that he 'round-kicked Prachanda' to prevent fraud, dishonesty, and corruption during a party meeting. In response, Prachanda remarked that he will soon see what a 'people's round-kick' feels like.
During a Politburo meeting, Oli had alleged that he forced Prachanda out of the government with a 'round-kick' with the help of the Nepali Congress.
Prachanda made his comments at a program held at the party's central office in Paris Danda on Thursday, where he also honored martyrs Sherman Kunwar 'Bishal' and Mohanchandra Gautam 'Kumar.'
Prachanda emphasized that no one has the right to undermine the self-sacrificing struggle and political achievements gained through the sacrifice of martyrs. He asserted that such tendencies must be eradicated.
He also stated that the people's war should not be misinterpreted as 'violence' and urged that leaders who speak against the constitution be exposed.
