Mukul Dhakal appeals for reinstatement as RSP general secretary

Kathmandu, September 1 — Mukul Dhakal, the dismissed general secretary and party spokesperson of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has submitted an appeal to the party's appeals committee on Sunday, seeking reinstatement as general secretary.

Dhakal noted that it has been 35 days since he received the dismissal notice from his position as general secretary. He clarified that his appeal specifically addresses his removal from the role of general secretary, not his suspension as an ordinary member.

In his appeal letter, Dhakal claims that his dismissal was driven by personal bias and vindictive motives, contrary to legal principles and the Supreme Court's guidelines. He asserts that the dismissal violated the party's constitution and laws by denying him the opportunity to provide clarification during the central committee meeting and failing to issue a decision when requested.

Dhakal has asked the party to correct what he describes as a flawed decision made on the 25th of Asadh and to restore the party's working environment to its previous state.
