Seven-point agreement reached at Thapa's residence, says Oli

Kathmandu, August 31 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced that seven key points were agreed upon at Captain Rameshwar Thapa's residence before the formation of the CPN-UML-Congress coalition government.

Speaking at the launch of Thapa's book in Kathmandu on Saturday, Oli noted that due to the country's instability, they decided to seek Thapa's assistance to bring about stability.

Prime Minister Oli said, “This time, both Sher Bahadur ji and I recognized the country's instability, which was preventing progress. We reached a seven-point agreement at Captain Rameshwar’s residence, and he has a positive perspective on these matters.”

The Prime Minister also highlighted Captain Thapa's significant efforts to prevent the UML from splitting and praised his contributions to Nepal’s peace process.

“Thapa expressed his desire for improvements in Nepal’s politics, alongside investments in media and the aviation industry”, Oli added.
