Show Cause Order issued in APF 30-year service dispute

Kathmandu, August 27 — A show cause order has been issued by the Supreme Court in response to a writ petition filed by Armed Police Force officers regarding a dispute over their 30-year service period.

The order was issued by the bench led by Judge Sharanga Subedi on Tuesday.

Following the hearing, the bench directed the defendants to provide a written explanation. This follows a similar case involving Nepal Police officers, where an interim order was issued earlier.

12 Armed Police officers, led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abhi Kumar Khatri, filed a writ petition.

At the initial hearing, the Supreme Court requested a written response and sought an explanation from the defendants.
