Tanahun bus crash: Bodies to be flown to India by Indian Air Force plane
Kathmandu, August 24 - The body of a pilgrim from Maharashtra who died in a bus accident in Nepal will be transported to Nashik by an Indian Air Force plane. The tragic incident occurred on Friday when a bus with Indian plate plunged into the Marshyangdi river.
A total of 27 people lost their lives when the bus, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, fell into the river. Of these, 26 died at Aanbookhaireni, and one passed away in Bharatpur.
Sixteen injured passengers were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. All the passengers, who were from Maharashtra, had entered Nepal via bus from Uttar Pradesh.
The accident took place in Tanahun district, 118 kilometers from Kathmandu, with the bus falling approximately 300 meters from the road.
