Koshi and other major rivers stable; minor streams poised for sudden surge

Kathmandu: This morning's measurements show that the water levels in the Koshi, Karnali, Narayani, Mahakali, Bagmati, Kankai, Kamla, East Rapti, Babai rivers, and their tributaries are currently below alert levels and are in normal condition.

According to the Flood Forecasting Division, the flow of many smaller rivers in Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Lamjung, Kaski, Doti, and surrounding districts is expected to rise, with some small rivers potentially experiencing sudden increases in flow.

Additionally, the water levels in many smaller rivers in Udaypur, Ramechhap, Dhading, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Parbat, Gulmi, Pyuthan, Salyan, Surkhet, Rukum East, Rukum West, Dailekh, Kalikot, Achham, Bajhang, Darchula, and nearby areas are currently significant and are expected to increase.
