Nepal vs. Saudi Arabia T20 match cut short by rain
Nepal to bowl first
KATHMANDU: The T20 clash between Nepal and Saudi Arabia in the ACC Premier Cup had an unexpected twist as rain intervened, forcing a reduction in overs to just eight.
Nepal, already through to the semi-finals, chose to field after winning the toss.
Originally scheduled for an 11:45 am start, the match got delayed due to the weather.
Nepal's journey to the semis has been smooth, securing wins in all their previous matches.
They started with a five-wicket victory over Malaysia, followed by a strong 32-run win against Qatar. Their third match saw them cruise to an eight-wicket win against Hong Kong.
The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, and Nepal's performance guarantees their spot.
The tournament's final match is set for April 21, with the winner earning a place in the 2025 T20 Asia Cup.
