Nepal to bat first against Gujarat in SMS Friendship Cup finals

KATHMANDU: Nepal has chosen to start off with batting as they face Gujarat in the SMS Friendship Cup finals set to take place in Vapi, India.

In this T20 tri-series, Gujarat has faced Nepal twice before, failing to secure a win on both occasions.

Although Nepal suffered a defeat by 37 runs against Baroda in the previous match, they have shown prowess in earlier encounters.

They clinched an eight-wicket victory over Gujarat in the opening match, followed by wins against Baroda by 27 runs and Gujarat by eight runs in subsequent matches.

With a strong winning streak of three consecutive victories, Nepal secured a spot in the finals even before completing their final group stage match.
