Nepal sets challenging target of 199 runs for Ireland Wolves in second T20 showdown

KATHMANDU: In a thrilling match at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal has set a formidable target of 199 runs for Ireland Wolves to chase in the second T20 encounter.

Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal displayed strong batting prowess, accumulating a total of 198 runs for the loss of seven wickets within their allotted 20 overs.

Gulsan Jha emerged as the leading run-scorer for Nepal, contributing 47 runs, supported by Rohit Poudel and Kushal Malla, who added 33 and 34 runs, respectively.

Additional contributions from Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, and Sandeep Jora bolstered Nepal's innings, with scores of 25, 11, and 21 runs, respectively.

On the bowling front, MT Foster showcased an impressive performance for Ireland Wolves, claiming three wickets, while B White secured two wickets. Meanwhile, F Hand and G Hoey each contributed with one wicket.

In their previous clash on Monday, Nepal secured a convincing victory over Ireland Wolves, winning by six wickets.
