Nine including Chairperson and General Secretary of Bibeksheel Sajha Party arrested in Kathmandu protest

KATHMANDU: Police arrested nine individuals, including Samikshya Baskota, the Chairperson, and Ranju Darshana, the general secretary of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party on Friday. 

The arrests came following a protest staged by the group, demanding the government to let the public to demonstrate at Maitighar, which the government has designated as a restricted zone.

Those detained at Maitighar include Ajit Khadka and Surendra Rana Bhat, both central committee members of the party, as well as leaders Sakil Ahamed, Utsav Adhikari, Uttam Khanal, and Yujan Raj Bhandari."
