KATHMANDU: Nepal witnessed a significant shift in its political landscape as Upendra Yadav, the Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), took the oath of office as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's move to include the JSP in the Cabinet reflects a strategic alliance to bolster governance and representation.

In parallel, Nawal Kishor Sah assumed the responsibilities of Minister for Forest and Environment, further diversifying the Cabinet's portfolio.

Under the solemn gaze of President Ram Chandra, the swearing-in ceremony unfolded at Sital Niwas, attended by dignitaries including President Poudel, Vice President Prime Minister Dahal, Speaker, and Chief Justice.
