Agreement reached between Maoist Center, UML, JSP and RSP to form a new coalition govt

KATHMANDU: In a significant development, the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have reached a pivotal agreement to establish a fresh coalition government.

This groundbreaking agreement was achieved during a late-night gathering held on Sunday at Baluwatar, where these key political entities deliberated on crucial issues such as the TRC bill and the National Assembly Chair election.

With this historic agreement, the existing ruling alliance between the Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, and CPN (Unified Socialist) stands on the brink of dissolution.

The meeting, attended by Prime Minister and Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML Chair KP Oli, Chairman of the RSP Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the JSP Upendra Yadav, alongside other prominent leaders, signifies a unified effort to navigate the country's political landscape with renewed vigor and purpose.

Moreover, the participants have collectively endorsed Dahal's continuation as the Prime Minister for the interim period, showcasing a commitment to stability and continuity amidst this transformative phase in Nepali governance.
