Nepali Congress holding Mahasamiti meeting today; 2,105 attendees
KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is currently holding its Mahasamiti meeting at the Sunrise Conference Centre in Godawari, Lalitpur, with a total of 2,105 participants in attendance.
During a press briefing held in Lalitpur on Sunday, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, the party's chief of the central information, communication, and publicity department, confirmed that all arrangements for the conclave had been finalized.
Of the attendees, 165 individuals are office-bearers and central members of the central committee, 1,780 represent Mahasamiti members from House of Representatives constituencies, while 89 are from the Nepali Public Relations Committee and 69 from sister organizations, as per Bishwakarma's statement.
Additionally, presidents of the provincial working committees, district working committees, and central presidents of sister organizations who are not part of the Mahasamiti have been extended invitations to the event.
The meeting is set to be inaugurated by Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
During the gathering, various reports endorsed by the party's recently convened central working committee meeting will be deliberated upon.
