National Assembly gears up for Chairman election on March 12

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) is poised to witness a significant event as the election for the position of Chairman is recommended for March 12.
The current Chairman, Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, along with 19 other members, will conclude their term on March 3.
In anticipation of Chairman Timalsina stepping down, the NA has outlined a timeline to organize the election within a week.
Although the proposed date for the Chairman election is March 12, the final decision is pending.
The recently concluded election for members, whose terms conclude on March 3, has wrapped up.
The newly elected members are scheduled to take their oath of office and secrecy on March 4.
