PM Dahal pays tribute to martyrs, emphasizes their inspirational role on Martyr Day

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' conveyed heartfelt best wishes on the occasion of Martyr Day, emphasizing the enduring inspiration provided by the martyrs who bravely fought for the nation's identity, people's rights, and livelihood.

In his message, PM Dahal acknowledged the martyrs as torchbearers and urged a collective resolve to fulfill the remaining tasks of the revolution they initiated for the liberation and transformation of the country.

The Martyr Day serves as a poignant day to pay homage to the sacrifices of these heroes and to keep their contributions alive. PM Dahal reassured the public that the government is dedicated to honoring and safeguarding the families of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives at different junctures in history.

Reflecting on the inclusive spirit of the present constitution, PM Dahal highlighted that it was crafted with leadership from various classes, cultures, communities, and regions, aiming to uphold their identities and rights. He stressed that preserving the achievements made so far and committing to further progress is the genuine way to pay tribute to the martyrs.

PM Dahal expressed his hope that Martyr Day would inspire all citizens to contribute to the protection and strengthening of the federal democratic republic. He paid homage to both known and unknown martyrs, extending wishes for the swift recovery of those injured in various movements for justice and democracy.
