KATHMANDU: A gripping showdown unfolded in the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024 as Karnali Province dictated terms, setting a formidable target of 172 runs for Nepal Police Club in a match at the iconic Tribhuvan University cricket ground.

Opting to bat first after securing the toss, Karnali Province displayed resilience, accumulating a total of 171 runs before being all out in 42.5 overs.

Nischal Rawal stole the spotlight with a commanding 50 runs, adorned with six well-timed boundaries, while Rabindra Shahi contributed a crucial 40 runs to the innings.

The Nepal Police Club responded with a stellar bowling performance, with Sagar Dhakal spearheading the attack and claiming three pivotal wickets.

Lalit Bhandari also left an impact, securing two wickets for the departmental team.
