Fake doctor apprehended in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Law enforcement authorities have apprehended an individual posing as a fake doctor in Kathmandu.

The suspect, identified as Sambuddha Bhattacharya, hails originally from Biratnagar, Morang.

The Kathmandu Valley Investigation Office revealed that Bhattacharya had been practicing as a doctor at the Dhaulagiri Polyclinic located in Vasundhara.

He had also been falsely claiming to have previously worked at the Teaching Hospital.

Further investigation uncovered that Bhattacharya had been engaged in fraudulent activities, including the forging of fake certificates to maintain his deceptive facade as a qualified medical professional.
