One arrested with 0.5 kg of gold from TIA

KATHMANDU: A man has been apprehended at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in possession of 500 grams of gold.
The individual was arriving at TIA from Doha, Qatar, aboard a Himalayan Airlines flight.
Khagendra Darji from Jhapa was taken into custody after the Custom Office at the airport seized 500 grams of gold in liquid form.
Dr. Tok Raj Pandey, the chief at the Custom Office, stated that the arrest was made based on a tip-off.
Further investigations into the case are currently underway.
