Jeep recovered from Trishuli river; Passengers still missing

KATHMANDU: In a morning incident, a jeep bearing an Indian number plate submerged in the Trishuli River.

The unfortunate event occurred near Bridge 3 in Ichha Kamana Rural Municipality-5, along the Narayangadh-Mugling road section around 5 am today, as reported by DSP Shreeram Bhandari of the District Police Office, Chitwan.

In response to the accident, a team of divers was swiftly deployed to locate the jeep and its passengers.

The divers have successfully recovered the submerged vehicle from the river. However, the passengers remain missing.

Efforts are ongoing to determine the whereabouts of the individuals who were in the jeep at the time of the incident.
