Government decides to hold NA election on January 25, 2024
KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The government has decided to hold the elections of the National Assembly on January 25, 2024. Information and Communication Minister Rekha Sharma informed that the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to hold the elections for the posts of the National Assembly going to be vacant.
Sharma said that the date of the election was finalized from the consultation with the Election Commission. The posts of 19 MPs of the National Assembly are going to become vacant on the 3rd of March, 2024 and there is a constitutional provision to hold the elections a month before the NA members’ posts become vacant.
