Bagmati Provincial Assembly: 4 Bills sent to parliamentary committee for discussion

MAKAWANPUR, Sep 16: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly has sent 4 Bills to the parliamentary committee for discussion. Provincial Assembly Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak unanimously passed the proposal to send the 4 Bills, that were submitted in the Parliament, to the parliamentary committee for periodic discussion and amendment.

In Friday's session of the Provincial Assembly, the "Bill to make arrangements regarding the operation of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development Fund", which was submitted by Social Development Minister Kumari Moktan, has been sent to the Education, Health and Agriculture Committee for quarterly discussion.

The "Bill to amend the Province Health Services Act, 2075, 2080", submitted by Health Minister Uttam Joshi, has also been sent to the Education, Health and Agriculture Committee for quarterly discussion.

Similarly, the "Bill to amend the Provincial Media Management Act, 2075", submitted on behalf of Internal Affairs and Law Minister Ganga Narayan Shrestha by Minister Moktan, has been sent to the Provincial Affairs Committee for quarterly discussion.

And the "Bill to make arrangements for Provincial Agriculture Development", submitted by Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Dr. Rajendraman Shrestha, has been sent to the Education, Health and Agriculture Committee for quarterly discussion.

The Provincial Assembly meeting also passed a condolence proposal, paying tribute to the untimely death of Subash Chandra Nemwang, who was the former Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, former minister and former member of the House of Representatives.

The next session of the Provincial Assembly has been adjourned until October 1 at 11:30 a.m.
