UML Lumbini Congress: Preparations ongoing for voting starting at 3 pm

BUTWAL, Sep 4: The CPN-UML has failed to reach a consensus on the leadership selection of the Lumbini Province Committee. After the attempt for consensus failed, the election committee has begun the preparations for the election. 

The Election Committee is collecting the names of those who have filed their candidacy after the time given for the nomination of the candidacy ended at 11 am on Monday. Leaders have said that they have failed to select the leadership even when they were working for it in agreement until Monday morning. UML Politburo member Khimlal Bhattarai informed that it was attempted to reach a consensus between Radhakrishna Kandel, the current chairperson who is again vying for the chairperson, and central member Hari Prasad Rijal, but it was unsuccessful.

Leader Bhattarai informed that preparations are underway to hold the voting from 3 pm on Monday, today.
