Oli-Hollen meeting: America shows interest in MCC and peace process

KATHMANDU, Sep 3: American Senator Chris Van Hollen, who is on a visit to Nepal, has paid a visit to the former Prime Minister and the CPN-UM Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

The meeting was held on Sunday afternoon at the UML Parliamentary Party Office in Singhadurbar. In the meeting, the two sides discussed about Nepal's Peace Process and the MCC agreement between Nepal and America.

According to UML Deputy Chairman Subash Nemwang, Senator Hollen has shown interest in the progress of Nepal's Peace Progress. He also thanked the Government of Nepal and the political parties for the implementation of MCC.

Responding to the Senator's intrigue, Chairman Oli said that he has been advancing the Peace Process since he was the Prime Minister of the country.

Other than Oli and Hollen, UML Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal and Anjan Shakya were also present in the meeting. Hollen was also accompanied by an official from the American Embassy in Nepal.
