KATHMANDU, Aug 29: In the case of the misappropriation of the government land inside the Lalita Niwas camp in Baluwatar, the testimony of two defendants was taken on Monday in the bench of Judge Bholanath Dhakal of the District Court Kathmandu.

The testimony of Shivaji Bhattarai and Rudra Prasad Shrestha was completed in bench number 13. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has concluded that Shivaji Bhattarai, who was arrested on July 2, is involved in forgery.

Rudra Prasad Shrestha, the then Director General of the Land Reforms and Administration Department, was arrested on July 11 and was investigated for organized forgery. But the Government Attorney’s Office has only filed a case against him in the court on forgery.

An Officer of the District Court Kathmandu told Ratopati that the testimony of three defendants, namely Balkrishna Shrestha, Kaladhar Deuja and Min Bahadur Gurung, will be taken today.
