Final Hearing of case against Sandeep from today

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: The judgment debate in the rape case against Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, will begin today. 

The case against Sandeep is pending in the Kathmandu District Court. The final debate on the case has been postponed again and again. The court has scheduled the final hearing for Sunday.

A 17-year-old minor had filed a complaint in Police Circle Gaushala on September 6 last year saying that Sandeep took her to a hotel and raped her repeatedly.

He will be heading to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup on Sunday night if he is acquitted or the case is left unresolved.
