KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has addressed the 20th Doramba Memorial Day program held at Ramechhap.

In the program held on Thursday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the relationship between the party and the general public had become distant. He also assured to improve the situation.

"As the relationship between us and the public has become a bit muddled, we have started a new resolve to bring it back to the old path", said Prachanda.

Prachanda also honoured the families of the victims of the Doramba incident in the program. Twenty years ago, on the 17th of August, 2003, the Nepalese army killed 21 Maoist leaders and personnel when the rebel side was negotiating with the government to announce a ceasefire.
