Attack attempt on UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai in Ilam

BIRATNAGAR, June 29: Identity activists Limbuwan Volunteers have attempted an attack on the Secretary of CPN UML Yogesh Bhattarai in Ilam.

Dakendra Singh Thegim, coordinator of the Province 1 renaming struggle committee, said that Bhattarai was welcomed with a black flag in Ilam. Bhattarai had reached Ilam to participate in the dialogue on today's democracy, achievements and challenges on the occasion of the late Madan Bhandari's 72nd birth anniversary.

The armed police tried to stop the identity activists who tried to attack Bhattarai. However, they stopped the vehicle rode by Bhattarai displaying a black flag.
