Minister's car accident update: Two people dead

KATHMANDU, June 20: Two people have died in a car accident that took place on Jayprithvi Highway located in Jharchhada at Bajhang Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-1 on Tuesday.

Sudurpaschim Province Government's Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Prithbi Bahadur Singh's wife Amrita Singh and his daughter-in-law Jayadevi Singh are among the dead.

The vehicle with five passengers suffered an accident as it fell into the Kalanga River bank from the road. The passengers were immediately taken to the local Ritu Polyclinic and Primary Health Center in Deura for treatment by the Police. But Amrita and Jaydevi died in the middle of the treatment according to the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office's ASP Shyam Singh Chaudhary.

Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh, his driver Dharmaraj Joshi and his Security Guard Policeman Dipak Bhandari have been taken to Nepalganj Medical College in Banke for further treatment, informed Chaudhary.
