Balen to ban Hindi films release in Kathmandu until "Janaki is a daughter of India" line is omitted in Adipurush

KATHMANDU, June 15: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has announced to ban Hindi films from showing in Kathmandu until the lines "Janaki is a daughter of India" is removed from "Adipurush".
Mayor Balen announced to ban Hindi films in Kathmandu by posting it on social media. "Until the lines 'Janaki is a daughter of India' contained in the South Indian film 'Adipurush' is removed not just in Nepal but also in India, no Hindi films will be allowed to run in Kathmandu Metropolitan City", Balen wrote.
Mayor Shah has given a deadline of 3 days to correct the line. The film will be screened in Nepal from Friday.
