Government insulted the Court by pardoning Resham Chaudhary: Leader KC
Kathmandu, May 30: The Bagmati Province Assembly, “Congress Transformation Campaign,” launched by Congress leaders has started at Anupam Foodland in Battisputali.
The leaders participating in the assembly, led by the Bagmati Province Coordinator and Central Member of Congress Madhu Acharya, are leader Jagadish Narsingh KC, Devraj Chalise, Prakash Rasaili, Ranjit Karna, Bhupendra Jung Shahi, Gururaj and others.
Leader Narsingh KC stated that the party’s policies and strategies must be timely modified. “Conventions of Nepal Congress’s fraternal organizations have been halted for a long time, so the party leadership should announce the date as soon as possible. Party’s policies and strategies must be revised in a timely manner,” he said.
KC stated that practices like a Chairman of a Student’s Union distributing SWU tickets, the President of a Women’s Union electing leaders without holding a convention, etc., must be abolished.
Expressing dissatisfaction at the government’s decision to grant amnesty to Resham Chaudhary, he said, “Today, the Supreme Court makes one decision, and the government insults them. Our party remains silent. This is not the specialty of our party.”
KC also mentioned that Congress should not ally itself with other parties. “No Pre-Poll Alliance is the primary agenda of this Transformation Campaign. We must fight the upcoming 2084 election alone,” he said.
