'Heritage Tour' starts operating

LALITPUR, May 23: 'Heritage Tour' bus service has started operating in Kathmandu Valley starting today with the motive of providing a visual overview of the heritages of Kathmandu Valley. 

During a program on Tuesday, the Tourism Minister Sudan Kirati inaugurated the 'Heritage Tour' bus service. The Mayor of the Lalitpur Metropolitan, Chiribabu Maharjan was also present at the program.

Chief Executive Officer Dhananjaya Regmi informed that the heritages of Kathmandu Valley will be shown through two electric buses under the management of the Nepal Tourism Board. 'Hop on Hop off Bus' will be operated from Tuesday as a heritage tour bus service to the heritage sites within Kathmandu Valley listed in the World Heritage List, informed Regmi.

Through the 'Hop on Hop off Bus' service, a tour of Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath and Swayambhu will be operational in the initial phase. The service is free of charge for the time being.
