Newly-elected Health Minister assumes office

KATHMANDU, May 4: The newly-elected Health and Population Minister Mohan Basnet assumed office at the Ministry on Thursday after taking an oath of office and secrecy at the President's office.

The Prime Minister recommended to the President to appoint Basnet as a Minister on Wednesday. On the same day, the President appointed Dhanraj Gurung of the Nepali Congress as the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Dig Bahadur Limbu as the Minister of Youth and Sports along with Basnet.
