Rastriya Swatantra Party backs Ram Chandra Poudel in presidential election

KATHMANDU, March 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party has decided to vote for Ram Chandra Poudel, the Nepali Congress’s candidate for the presidential election.
Meetings of the office bearers and the parliamentary party committee of the party took a decision to this effect.
There are 19 lawmakers of the Rastriya Swatantra Party in parliament.
Poudel of Nepali Congress and Subjash Chandra Nembang of CPN-UML are vying for the post.
The race for the presidency is between Poudel and Subjash Chandra Nembang of CPN-UML.
